The narrative of Donald George Bradman is familiar, oft told variations only minor…The authors do not attempt to rank a genetic brew so rich and diverse. One great-grandfather unbeatable in quoits and skittles, a father who was a crack shot with a rifle, mixed with other grandfathers, grandmothers, uncles and aunts who worked hard, played hard and gave back to the community. One great-grandmother gave birth to Aboriginal children with whom Don’s grandmother shared a home. The children of those children were part of Don’s world.
